Who We Are, How We Work

Our Philosophy

At Iron Thistle Academy, we believe that health is not just the absence of disease, but a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being. We strive to help our clients achieve this state by providing personalized coaching that addresses all aspects of their health. We believe in empowering individuals to take control of their health and wellbeing through honest coaching, practical education, and strategic support - because real wellness takes work, and everyone deserves the tools to get there.

Meet the Coach

Megan Hayden, Founder & IIN Certified Health Coach
"I opened Iron Thistle Academy because I got tired of watching people fall through the cracks. Most folks are doing their best—but they’re burned out, confused, and unsupported. I created this business to be a bridge between real people and the real help they need.”

Although Megan is a Certified Health Coach (she prefers the term Wellness Advocate), she is first and foremost a mother that enjoys the wild antics of her children more than anything, including coaching her son's little league teams. Megan is a Jeep enthusiasts that loves getting onto the trails whenever possible. She is also a member of the support staff of Tucson's local steel combat team, the Tucson Hellhounds, that train and practice at Iron Thistle's facility. She assists in training and managing the team as an alternative physical discipline and workout. Megan understands that strength can take many forms and sometimes an unconventional approach may be the best answer. She's not afraid to dive deep and find what works best for you. 

Her approach is grounded, inclusive, and radically honest. So go get after it!

How It Works

The first step you'll need to take on your journey is making the decision to make a change, and to make a commitment to yourself to put in the hard work.

After that, it's easy to get started:

  • Contact Iron Thistle to schedule your FREE initial health consultation. Plan on 45 minutes of time to answer a few question with Megan and discuss what your main goals are.
  • Review your recommended journey map and schedule your individual sessions with Megan to start working through your personalized wellness plan. 
  • Start taking action - one clear step at a time. Megan will help you decide what the best method will be for you to make and maintain sustainable changes in your daily life.
